Wild hot spring bath “Noten buro”

Yumori-Tanakaya is located in Oami Onsen, one of the most natural hot springs in the Nikko National Park Special Area.
The valley is full of megaliths and the scenery has been preserved as it was in ancient times, The hot springs, which have been bubbling since time immemorial, continue to heal travellers today.
It is no exaggeration to say that the 100% natural hot spring water and the spectacular canyon beauty are the best in Shiobara Onsen, or even in Japan.
The open-air baths are located in the valley, about 300 steps down, and welcome you with a different look each season.

Reopening of the Wild hot spring bath “Noten buro”

Due to damage to facilities caused by falling rocks in the national forest, access to the grounds had to be restricted under the direction of the Forestry Agency, and the baths have been closed for a long period of time since May 2020.

However, there is no prospect of the complete reopening of the baths, including the women-only baths that were damaged. In addition, temporary tents have been set up in the women’s changing rooms.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused over the long period of time.
